Dom arquitectura in 2015, has completed work on the redesign project of flats “Flat AB” in sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Barcelona, Spain. As a starting point were taken several important decisions. On the one hand, this re-thinking outdated space organization, uniting the entrance and the living room, and an office and kitchen. This helped to create a large space, easily passing each other, and simultaneously, to reduce the number of doors and partitions. On the other hand, this update electrical, plumbing, cooling and heating, as well as, a full recovery of the kitchen and bathroom. In most of the apartments lighting is indirect. The lamps are available at various points, creating a special atmosphere with a warm and pleasant light. For the floor and lining some of the walls was chosen as the color of the wood. This color and placement of material have created a cozy and identified secluded area in the living room and bedroom, and the space of the last room extended by terraces of the same color. In the lobby, and in front of the living room uses a variety of iron items as shelves and partitions. Modern furniture and lighting combined with the classics. And finally, the terrace is equipped with a high panel that ensures the safety of private life, and decorated with feather-grass in iron pots, specially commissioned for this project.
Chmielna Apartment is a small apartment in Gdansk, Poland, designed by the company Raca Architekci in 2014. The designers needed to create a modern “rough” interior with soft scenery. The main problem was a limited budget. Lack of funds forced to look for creative solutions. Interior colors selected cold – shades of grey from light to dark with blue accents. Added an outdoor brick and industrial lighting – black cables stretched along the ceiling and bare light bulbs with color cable braid. All these raw materials are softened by exquisite mandala, which became the leitmotif. The most interesting patterns is an image of an owl on a black wall living room. This widescreen black destroys the color of the walls and reduces its impact on the interior. Thus, despite the use of cold tones, the apartment became cozy. Bathroom in minimalist style is also decorated in cool colors: only white and gray colors. Gives a feeling of warmth only natural wood. The unique interior is influenced by the effect of reflection — the meaning of the image in the mirror can only be understood in its reflection.
